While some of the group are going to the theatre to see Buddy, you are welcome to 

join us and 'Mr Brunel' on his birthday with a one of a kind guided experience at the Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre.  Step into the world of a Victorian engineering genius as this immersive tour brings Brunel’s remarkable achievements—and personality—to life as you walk in his footsteps.

Your journey continues across the iconic Tamar Bridge, where “Brunel” himself will share fascinating stories about his visionary work, personal challenges, and extraordinary legacy. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the engineering marvel that put Saltash on the map: the Royal Albert Bridge. Discover how it was designed, the ingenuity behind its construction, and the enduring impact it has had on British engineering.

Filled with humour, historical insight, and unforgettable views, this guided experience is perfect for anyone curious about the man who helped shape modern Britain.

The tour is 13.30 - 15.30

The coach will pick you up at 13.00 from outside the theatre to take you to the Visitor Centre and return you there afterwards.  Departing afterwards from Plymouth at 17.15  In between perhaps you might like to visit The Box & the

Beryl Cook exhibition which is free but pre-booking tickets is recommended. 

 

Coach departs Newton Abbot 10.00 taking the Ashburton Road route with pickups along the way.
