CROESO (WELCOME) TO WALES
TUESDAY 24TH/WEDNESDAY 25TH MAY 2022
A two day trip to South Wales, visiting Cardiff, 2 National Trust & Rhondda Heritage Park and a tour with an ex-miner. Ending the day with tea/coffee, Welsh cakes & performance from the Mountain Ash Male Voice choir.
Tuesday
We travel over the River Severn on the Prince of Wales bridge into Wales. Our first visit will be fairly quick visit to Tredegar House as I know some have visited before but it will also be a chance to get a coffee. Tredegar House at Newport & the Morgan family have some captivating tales for you to discover. We then travel onto Cardiff for you to spend the afternoon at your leisure. The Cardiff Museum is well worth a visit and is free. The St David's shopping centre has a M&S, John Lewis & lots of over well known stores and is undercover. For those that would like to visit the Castle if there are 20+ I could book a group visit and entry then would be £13.00 per person.
We leave Cardiff for a drive to the 4* Bryn Meadow hotel, time for you to unwind. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna & steam & golf course.

Wednesday
Make use of the facilities before a good hearty breakfast and then a visit to NT Dyffren Gardens. These are gardens only, the house is not open. The gardens are still being restored to their original Edwardian splendour. Time to get a snack before we visit our last attraction the award winning, Rhondda Heritage Centre for a Welsh Coal Mining Experience with an ex-miner that have tales to tell of life underground and the history of the Black Gold that was shipped from the Rhondda around the world. Did you know coal from the Rhondda was used to power the Titanic?
We finish our tour at the Fan Room for a cuppa and a couple of Welsh Cakes and a performance by the Mountain Ash Male Voice Choir.
